Yeah you`re missing something,a sense of humor.
Please get one.

Frodo,
Keep dog paddling in the tub.
I live on the river and if you come here to live I`ll buy you a lifejacket and you can pretend that it`s a big tub.
I have a Labrador Retriever that still has to wear a lifejacket??
Aren`t Labs supposed to like the water?
She`d much rather just lounge in the whirlpool without any water in it.
So much for stereotypes.

Frodo - I couldn't swim until I was about 8. (I claim to be 8 now, but I'm really older! No one kept track of my age or even ME until I came to my forever home!) You need warm water (none of those icy mountain streams!) and yummy floating treats - like goldfish crackers.

Hi Frodo,

You must feel great now after your bath. Have you learned how to do the after bath zoomies? They are the most fun and intense of all the zoomies in my house.

As for the word police being so hard on you--I teach Special Ed. and ESL and in my opinion, your language is certainly developmentally appropriate for someone with your emotional neglect and educational background. Developmental language issues are not related to race. To assume that bad grammar is racial is pretty racist idea when you think about it . . .

I just had to give this comment a big thumbs up.
This is so much better than my comment.

I hope I didn`t appear racist with "get a sense of humor" but I grew up with kids from all races and nationalities and we all called each other politically incorrect names.
Our parents didn`t file lawsuits and we all remained friends.

Humor brings people together, trying to be politically correct all the time drives a wedge.

I guess we're just lucky that we get the joke!(-:

Stereotypes are funny things when they bleed in to the animal world. Painful, too! Frodo experiences them every day - He sure gets sized up a lot by people who don't understand him. Some cross the street to avoid him. He doesn't know it, but if he had long flowing gold hair, people would probably be nicer to him. He's trying his very best though, and the good guys notice that.

Society is so hard core about how dogs should look and act right now. It puts a lot of pressure on them to act perfect when they're still learning. We all look forward to the day when people can get over themselves and just smile at all dogs, no matter how different they might seem.

maybe not racist but unneccasary and insensitive. also, not that funny. i grew up with different nationalities as well and we all make fun of each other. however, there's something about frodo's dialect combined with his history that bothers me. i have a sense of humor but i'm just saying.
